After Cancer, Inc. has received grant funding from the Iowa Cancer Consortium to create a new free online course for patients navigating the sexual health and intimacy challenges that often follow cancer treatment.
We are seeking participants for a short-term focus group or individual interview to help shape the content of this course so it reflects the real-life needs and experiences of people affected by cancer.
Who We Are Looking For:
- People affected by cancer (any type)
- Any age, gender, or stage of treatment/survivorship
- Willing to share thoughts on how cancer or its treatment has affected sexual health, intimacy, and relationships
What Participation Includes:
- A brief online questionnaire
- One virtual focus group OR individual phone interview in August 2025
- Optional review of the course after it’s developed in Spring 2026
Stipend Provided: Participants will receive a $50 stipend for completing the focus group or interview.
Why It Matters: Sexual health is a vital but often overlooked part of cancer care. Your input will directly inform educational tools that will be made freely available to patients across Iowa and beyond.
