Having been touched by cancer in my own life, I am familiar with what others on this journey may be experiencing. The shock of diagnosis, uncertainty, fear, anger, guilt, confusion, and later, perhaps, persistence, determination, curiosity, regained strength and realization–it runs the gamut. All these – and not experienced in a linear way necessarily, but sometimes all at once or sporadically – all of these and more may be part of the trek toward healing.
I understand it, and I have a sense of how much it takes to go through it. And so I have a profound desire to walk with others on this path and help them navigate.
I believe in the intrinsic worth and internal experience and understanding of each individual. Deep inside, each one has keys that may help, but it is difficult to access these on one’s own. So I offer a space – an accepting, affirming space – where you can explore to find these keys, or where you can just be, in whatever condition you are in, with whatever you might be going through.
To facilitate the process, I use EMDR, for trauma and negative self-beliefs, guided imagery, dreamwork and more … all in the context of a safe and supportive relationship.
