Since 2008, Leslie has worked with cancer survivors through diagnosis, treatment, and remission to improve the quality of their lives. She achieves that goal by reducing side-effects of treatment using exercise and therapy to cope with not only the cancer itself but the role it plays in their lives.
Leslie is now at Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center as Lead Trainer Exercise Oncology/ Medical Oncology Department, Division of Population Sciences. It is thrilling to be a part of research again while also working privately with patients in-home for Cape Wellness Collaborative and as a solo practitioner.
Leslie is presently in Hilton Head South Carolina and works with cancer clients at Pilates Hilton Head in Wexford Village.
Leslie works with families and cancer patients through grief, loss of identity, redefining normalcy.
Her approach is to work with the whole individual, not just the physical aspects of recovery, which typically leads to a healthier outlook for survivors.
