Justin Shin DACM, LAc, MSc, Acupuncturist, Eastern and Western Medicine Specialist, Nutrition Counseling

A leader in the field of Integrative Medicine, Dr. Shin was the first acupuncture fellow at UCSF. Previously a medical resident at Highland Hospital’s (Oakland, CA) Integrative Medicine Department, Dr. Shin practiced acupuncture at U.C. Davis Hospital – Department of Anesthesia and Pain Medicine. Passionate about teaching, Dr. Shin taught Pharmacology at his alma-mater ACTCM at CIIS. Currently, Dr. Shin is the Acupuncture Program Coordinator for the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center (SFVAMC).

He has a background in Pharmacology & Physiology research and working experience with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). He has been trained in both Eastern & Western Medicine.

He aims to push the profession of integrative medicine forward in the California regions as he pioneers the first Acupuncture program for the SFVAMC serving our nation’s veterans.

His goal as a provider is to offer the best care for his patients, using acupuncture, nutrition, and lifestyle changes.
