The Cancer Supportive Care Program is an integral part of the Stanford Cancer Center. We provide you with emotional, physical, and spiritual support through all stages of cancer survivorship: Living With, Through, and Beyond Cancer. We’re here to help you strengthen your body, nurture hope and courage, and enrich your spirit. Our FREE support groups, classes, workshops, personal one-on-one consultations and services are open to all cancer patients in the community regardless of where you receive care. Choose the offerings that best meet your needs. You don’t have to go through cancer alone.
Classes and workshops: Caregivers Workshop, Healing Touch, Knitting with Friends, Lymphedema Risk Reduction Workshop, Managing and Understanding Your Chemotherapy, Mindfulness Meditation, Nutrition Class for Newly Diagnosed Patients, The Radiation Therapy Experience, Scarf Styles for Survivors, Singing for Your Soul, Quit Smoking, Writing Your Cancer Journey
Exercise and Fitness: Exercise for Health, Gentle Pilates, Living Strong and Living Well, Non-impact Aerobics, Personal Exercise Plan, T’ai Chi, Yoga
Support Groups for every type of cancer
Check out the Healing Partner program. This is a Healing Touch program offered at no charge for patients within the surrounding community (San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara and Monterey counties) regardless of where they receive their treatment. The patients are partnered with a Healing Touch provider for up to 8 weeks of energy work to promote deep relaxation, and promote healing.
