Physical Fitness and Exercise
Regular physical activity can help cancer survivors in many ways, such as reducing fatigue, managing stress, losing weight and improving sleep quality. ReNew is a cancer wellness and rehabilitation program to help improve wellness throughout your whole cancer experience. It provides a special emphasis on post-treatment recovery.
Our fitness professionals are certified by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). They will assess your current health and help you develop a plan based on your goals and needs.
Nutrition
Eating well can help you to recover from cancer and your cancer treatment. Good nutrition can also reduce the risk for certain diseases, while helping you to feel better and maintain a healthy weight.
If you have questions about nutrition, ask your doctor for a referral to a registered dietitian, or call Wilmot to schedule a meeting with our full-time registered dietitian. For helpful information online, refer to the web site of the The American Institute for Cancer Research, an organization focused on diet and lifestyle as it pertains to cancer: www.aicr.org.
