Mission Statement
At the Golden Acupuncturist clinic, each patient is treated with individual care and respect. The Eastern philosophy of ‘treat the whole person’ (body, mind and spirit) takes into account the psycho/emotional components that can hinder the overall healing process. Therefore, these factors are included when developing an individual and comprehensive therapeutic stratagem for the patient’s condition. The end result is a healthier and happier patient who enjoys living life fully and pain free.
Integrative Medicine
Kelley practices integrative medicine, which can be defined by the following tenets (Self Healing by Dr. Andrew Weil):
- The patient and practitioner form a partnership in the healing process.
- All factors that take in the total wellness of the patient are considered including diet, exercise, stress, medications, and lifestyle.
- There is a marriage of and appropriate use of both western and eastern modalities for the most effective treatment to restore the patient’s health.
- Effective interventions with minimally invasive therapies should be applied when appropriate, to affect healing.
- Integrative Medicine neither rejects conventional medicine nor accepts unconventional therapies uncritically.
- Good medicine is based on good science. It is inquiry-driven and based on new paradigms.
- Broader concepts of health promotion and prevention are stressed with treatments.
- Practitioners of Integrative Medicine should commit themselves to continued education, exploration, and development.
Transformation Through Traditional Chinese Medicine
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) incorporates acupuncture, herbal remedies, diet, exercise, and a healthy lifestyle to allow you to be in control of your body, mind, and soul — your world — providing you with longevity, contentment, and the ability to enjoy the fruits of your labor.
TCM is based on the laws of transformation; we are constantly changing and evolving to achieve an ideal of state of balance between the mind, body, and soul. At times, transformation can put us out of balance. When this occurs, there is dis-ease (disease). TCM addresses these imbalances and treats the patient’s from the inside out, in totality.
After enduring 2 rounds of chemotherapy
for inflammatory breast cancer,
I began acupuncture treatments with Kelley Mondesiré.
Suffering from fatigue and anxiety,
her treatments were instrumental
in returning my physical and mental strength.
With the boost to my immune system,
I sailed through the surgeries that followed.
Kelley is knowledgeable and compassionate
and individualized each treatment to meet my needs.
She is truly all about understanding and treating your entire self,
not just one issue.
She makes you feel comfortable and at ease,
and readily answers any questions you have.
I feel very fortunate to have met Kelley and been treated by her.
Thanks Kelley.
