Mandy Collier L.Ac , MSOM, Licensed Acupuncturist & Chinese Herbalist, Acupuncture, Oriental Medicine, Qi Gong Energy Healing, Tuina, Shiatsu, Nutrition, Pain Management.

Hi, my name is Mandy Collier. I am a licensed professional Acupuncturist providing my patients with treatments in Acupuncture and Qi Gong (energy healing). Incorporating my skills as a licensed Chinese herbalist, I am able to prescribe the herbs your body may need to help find it’s natural way back to a fulfilling lifestyle.

I am committed to providing my patients with the highest standard of care. My core belief is based on an attitude of gentleness, compassion, and loving kindness, while maintaining a professional and respectful relationship throughout your treatment process. I use various stress reduction techniques to assist you in overcoming chronic, nagging health problems. I work closely with each patient to develop their personal treatment plan based on their individual needs.

Are you finding that the physical aches and pains in your body are robbing you of the active lifestyle that you dream of living? Or are you dealing with feelings of anxiety or even depression that constantly nag at you, keeping  you from getting a restful night’s sleep or being able to just rest and feel a quiet inner peace?  All too often people are choosing to gain temporary relief through over-the-counter drugs and pain killers that may in the long run cause other physical and/or medical issues.

My approach is to work in unison with your present medical provider to explore how to formulate a treatment plan that will help you find a more natural and permanent relief. You can become one of the growing numbers of patients that are finding real relief from these symptoms and begin enjoying a re-invigorated lifestyle. This is accomplished by using a combination of natural treatments and methods to assist your body’s self-healing mechanisms and correct any physiological imbalances.

My goal is to use a combination of safe, natural and effective therapies and herbs that can assist you in overcoming health concerns that stem from emotional and physical causes. Instead of just suppressing the symptoms, let’s work together at healing you to the core so you can begin to enjoy the lifestyle you were intended to live.

Chinese Herbs
Herbal Medicine utilizes specific Chinese plants and organic products in traditional formulas that have been specifically tailored to the individual patient. These formulas can help to remove blockages in the meridians (in combination with acupuncture), and can also help to build up Qi in the body. In the simplest terms, where Qi is deficient, organ function is diminished and there is fatigue. Herbal medicine can help with this.

Acupuncture
Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years and is a very safe modality of treatment. It is known to balance all systems in the body, alleviate pain and discomfort, send healing energy known as “qi” to all organs within, and most importantly promotes increased health benefits for the body, mind, and spirit of the individual. The basic practice involves insertion and manipulation of acupuncture needles into appropriate points on meridians to elicit a therapeutic response and addresses the specific needs of each patient. The needles are safe, disposable, and only used once. When administered by a qualified and licensed professional, most patients report a feeling of deep relaxation and increased energy after a treatment, with no negative side effects.

Cupping
This involves the use of glass or plastic cups which are placed on the body with suction to help remove toxins and muscle tension. They are often used in patients with immune issues such as a cold as well as pain.

Electro-acupuncture
The Acupuncture needles are stimulated with an electric charge delivered from a machine. This is used often and effectively with patients dealing with pain.

Moxibustion
This involves the burning of an herb-Artemesia Vulgaris-either on top of the needle, or on the skin directly. This is often in patients who are  dealing with cold or stagnant conditions such as abdominal cramps

Qi Gong Energy Healing
This work operates on multiple levels of the energy-body, including the “Chakra System” energy-centers from the Eastern Yoga traditions and the “Aura Field,” the Bio-electro-magnetic “cocoon” that flows around the body, which is well-known in the Western esoteric traditions. This subtle-energy work also directly affects the “Meridian Systems” of Oriental medicine and Acupuncture. Thus our entire physical, emotional, mental and spiritual natures are nourished.
