Larry Cammarata, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist specializing in mindfulness-based therapy and education. Larry has practiced psychology for over 30 years and has expertise in the areas of mind-body medicine, clinical hypnosis, stress management, interpersonal relationships, depression, anxiety, mindfulness, and issues of midlife. Larry is a published author who was designated as an “Author-Expert” by IDEA for his writing, teaching, and service in the field of mind-body health, fitness, and wellness. Along with Jack Kornfield, Tara Brach, Dan Siegel, and other leaders in the field of mindfulness-oriented psychology and education, Larry is a co-author of a book entitled, A Year of Living Mindfully: 52 Quotes & Weekly Mindfulness Practices. He is a professional speaker and workshop presenter who has made contributions to local, national, and international retreats and conferences. His work on mindful movement was presented at the 11th Annual International Scientific Conference of the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine. In recent years, he has provided training to health professionals and members of the general public in Asheville, NC, San Diego, CA, Santa Fe, NM, La Jolla, CA, Costa Rica, Croatia, France, Spain, Sicily, New Zealand, Italy, and Bali. In addition to his involvement in the profession of psychology, Larry is an instructor of T’ai Chi Chuan and QiGong. He is also a professional musician and performance artist who has performed locally, nationally, and internationally.
Linda Cammarata, RN, RYT is a Registered Nurse and Registered Yoga Teacher. Linda is the founder and director of Mindfulness Travels, LLC. She has extensive experience in healthcare management and in preventive medicine education, with a specialty in Natural Sleep Recovery. Linda has designed and presented wellness programs at the world renowned Golden Door Spa in Southern California, and at Chiva Som in Thailand. She teaches mindfulness, yoga, and QiGong. Her teaching spans over 30 years of experience in healthcare, integrating traditional and complementary health practices. She has received numerous yoga trainings and a certification with Nischala Joy Devi, Yoga for the Heart. Linda is a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. Linda completed a comprehensive 3-year certification program in Energy Medicine. She has also received training in Integrative Sleep Education, Aromatherapy, Healing Touch, Reflexology, Qigong, and is a meditation teacher. National women’s health conferences, private industry, yoga teacher training programs, as well as several medical programs have utilized Linda’s wellness programs. Linda has shared her work in the US as well as abroad. Her latest DVD, Support and Strengthen Your Immune System, is published by IDEA. Linda is also a professional singer-songwriter and recording artist.
