We are a non-profit organization focused on grief and trauma with the mission to assist children and adults as they move from loss to life, transforming their grief through therapy, support, education, training and consultation.
The Austin Center for Grief and Loss provides services to individuals and families who have experienced a loss due to the death of a loved one from illness, miscarriage, accident, suicide, or violence … along with those who have experienced loss due to divorce or separation.
We strive to help anyone in need of hope and healing, regardless of one’s ability to pay. For those in need, we offer a sliding fee scale and a care assistance program when funds are available.
Our therapists have training specific to trauma, grief and loss in children and adults. We incorporate play therapy, traditional “talk” therapy and creative interventions into sessions. Many of our therapists are trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. EMDR is available for both English and Spanish-speaking adults and children.
