Olimpia is a clinical psychologist. She holds a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology and a Master of Science in Neuroscience. She is currently a Doctoral student assigned at the Psychosomatic and Psycho-Oncology Research Unit of the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium. She also did a specialization in Art Therapy at the Haute Ecole Libre de Bruxelles and is a Certified Ontological Coach by the Monterrey Institute of Technology (ITESM) and Newfield Consulting.
She conceived and currently leads the HEART (Healing Art) Program at CANOPY Cancer Survivorship Center at Memorial Hermann Hospital in The Woodlands, Texas. Along the HEART Program, survivors do diverse exercises in order to better cope the cancer experience through the use of a pleasant method and the sharing with others who are living a similar moment.
Olimpia serves on a pro bono basis, facilitating the HEART sessions and the Spanish Wellbeing Group activities. She also organizes every year at CANOPY the annual Art Exhibit to display the art projects of the cancer survivors to the community. She speaks Spanish, English, and French.
