I am a massage therapist specializing in oncology massage. I have more than 22 years of massage experience and am certified in the state of California.
My expertise and primary focus is oncology and treating women with cancer from diagnosis through survivorship. I have completed more than 100 hours of oncology massage training. I have worked in Greet the Day’s clinical hours Internship program providing Infusion Center massage for patients receiving cancer treatment at UCI and at Gynecologic Oncology Associates, both in Newport Beach, CA.
During my time at the Infusion Centers, I learned of the challenges the women face daily, continuing to give to others and putting themselves last, which leads to more stress during their treatment and recovery. I see firsthand the welcome respite that skilled compassionate touch provides for people in cancer treatment and how it can help them feel better even when they are not feeling well.
I am a member of The Society for Oncology Massage (www.s4om.org) which is a national nonprofit that helps clients find a therapist close to them. My mission is to educate as many people as I can who are diagnosed with cancer about the importance of receiving a massage from a certified oncology therapist because of the knowledge and understanding they have of the effects cancer and its treatment has on the body.
I have been in private practice for over 22 years. My practice is “women-centered” although I do accept male clients. Specializing in Oncology Massage is my passion. I am always honored to be part of the “healing process”. As a mobile practitioner, I provide a service to those in need of touch who prefer not to leave their homes for medical and/or personal reasons. I am compassionate and understanding. Since the start of my career, I have worked with clients when they are in all stages of their diagnosis.
My fees are listed on the website. However, I am happy to work out a payment plan for those who need it.
I only accept appointments by referral and am available for home- and office-based massage. As a mobile practitioner, my clients are able to enjoy the benefit of massage in the privacy and comfort of their homes without the stress and time of commuting. For those who prefer an office appointment, my office is centrally located in Santa Ana at The Center for Cancer Prevention and Treatment at St. Joseph’s Hospital. .
