I am a senior massage therapist at the Dubin Breast Center and at the Tisch Cancer Institute at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. I also maintain a private practice specializing in safe massage for people diagnosed with cancer during all phases of treatment, including survivorship and end of life.
I am a member of the Society For Oncology Massage and the American Massage Therapy Association.
I studied at the Swedish Institute and became a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist in 2008. My work integrates Swedish, myofascial release, active release technique, Reiki, and Reflexology, in which I hold a National Board Certification. I also have extensive training in oncology massage, including Massage for the Cancer Patient level I and II through Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and Hospital-Based Massage Therapy for Seriously Ill Patients through Mount Sinai’s Hertzberg Palliative Care Institute.
I believe life is a mystery to be present to, explore, learn to trust, and enjoy. I do not see a human being as a machine. Therefore, I do not consider myself a fixer but rather a mystery-walking companion. I use my knowledge and abilities to create the best possible conditions to bring about healing. I approach my work with respect and compassion.
