I have been a Registered Nurse for over 35 years, working in many different areas of nursing including Rural nursing, Public Health, Med Surgery, Labor & Delivery and most recently in Oncology.
I have been studying energy medicine for 7 years and have taken 3 levels of Healing Touch, Spiritual Ministry, and 5 levels of Healing Touch ( Energy Medicine).
I am a Healing Touch Certified Practitioner and also a Certified Aromatherapist and am currently starting an Integrative Therapy Program at University Medical Center in Las Vegas. Our program is called Tranquility at UMC. We are two Integrative therapy nurses (we used to be oncology nurses) who go to the bedsides of patients and offer holistic modalities like aromatherapy, breathe work, and Healing Touch to patients.
We also work with staff and do HeartMath. We teach the nurses how to use aromatherapy with patients. We go to all departments. We work full time in this capacity. We also have Tranquility Rooms for staff.
We have been doing this over 2 years full time. We actually started using holistic modalities with oncology patients in 2010.
