I am massage therapist licensed in Massachusetts and certified through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. My areas of interest and specialties are in oncology massage and scar tissue release.
For several years, I worked exclusively for hospice, providing gentle touch and energy work for people at the end of life and their caregivers. My focus has recently changed to working with people living with cancer while they are undergoing treatment, after treatment (where certain precautions will be necessary), and to help relieve discomfort from the effects of scar tissue damage.
I see people at the very lovely Holistic Wellness Center as well as in their homes.
Over the years, I have completed instruction through the Metta Institute of San Rafael in their End of Life Practitioner Training Program, and a half-unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (chaplaincy). Combined with the hands-on oncology massage and hospice massage training, I have developed a way of connecting with people to feel seen, held, and understood even before we begin our work together.
Being with and working with people, wherever they are on their journey — as witness and part of their care team is a gift. I am honored any time someone chooses to invite me along.
