Gilda’s Club Madison currently serves more than 4,000 members.
Gilda’s Clubs and Cancer Support Communities throughout the country and across the globe provide free emotional support, cancer education, and hope to children and adults touched by any kind of cancer and those who care for them. Our mission is to ensure that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by community.
Gilda’s Club provides a broad range of services to support those living with cancer. Members include adults and children … those who have a diagnosis of cancer, their loved ones, friends, and co-workers … as well as survivors of cancer and loved ones.
Gilda’s Club offers:
- Networking and support groups which are facilitated by licensed mental health professionals
- Educational seminars and lectures featuring a variety of local experts regarding topics such as what to eat during treatment, legal issues, advances in cancer treatment, relaxation techniques, and many other useful programs
- Lifestyle support including nutrition, therapeutic art, exercise, yoga, stress management
- Social activities include potlucks, family groups, and game nights
