I just hope that every kid who has cancer
would be able to have a camp like this
because it will change their life
for the better.
-Elise, 17 years old
Camp Little Red Door is a weeklong camp held in June each year for Indiana children ages 8 to 18 who are in active cancer treatment or remission. It is a chance for children with cancer to have the same camp experience as any other child and to interact with other children facing similar experiences. Camp activities include swimming, canoeing, archery, horseback riding, zip lining, nature education, rock climbing, arts and crafts, campfires, and more!
Spring and Fall Family Camps! Held over a weekend at Bradford Woods, Family Camp is an opportunity for the entire family to experience camp. Occurring once in the spring and once in the fall, Family Camp Little Red Door is offered to any family in Indiana with a child in or beyond treatment for cancer. Parents and all siblings are welcome to come spend time in the woods swimming, hiking, fishing, and cooking out among other families who understand the journey.
At Little Red Door, our mission is to make the most of life and the least of cancer – for people of all ages. Any child who is in cancer treatment or beyond is eligible to participate in Little Red Door’s youth services and programming, as well as their siblings or a friend.
Services range from transportation to and from treatment, nutritional support, connection to community resources and more.
In addition, we provide year-round social activities and programs designed for youth at any stage of their cancer journey through family picnics, virtual activities, a week-long summer day camp, family weekends, and a week-long camping experience at Bradford Woods.
