Camp Agape Northwest provides an all-expense-paid weeklong overnight camp for the whole family of a child with cancer. Camp Agape NW gives children with cancer a chance to feel normal, siblings a chance to feel special, and parents a time to be together.
Our mission is to nurture the whole family. When the child is ill, the whole family is affected. Camp Agape NW hosts approximately 20 families per year whose child receives treatment in Washington State, whether the family resides in Washington or not.
-
The child’s parents or legal guardians, and all siblings from infancy to 18 years also attend
-
Children with cancer must be healthy enough to attend camp with minimum blood count requirements of absolute neutrophil count of 1000, platelet count of 50,000 and hematocrit of 25.
Fun activities like arts and crafts, singing, skits, games, fishing, and boating and access to a private salt water beach happen throughout the week. One on One, each child is assigned his or her very own buddy for the week.
We can’t wait to welcome our families back to Camp Agape Northwest in person! If your family is interested in attending Camp, fill out the application below!
