I have extensive experience working with clients whose lives have been touched by cancer both within the non-profit cancer support community as well as in my private practice of 16 years. I work with people currently in treatment, caregivers, family members, those suffering loss of a loved one to cancer, and survivors who are least 1 year post-treatment.
I worked as Group Facilitator at Gilda’s Club/Cancer Support Community for 11 years (since arriving in the desert in 2008 until just last year when, sadly, they were no longer able to keep the doors open). During that time, I also worked as the Clinical Director for a period of time.
I am an Adjunct Professor at Chapman University/Brandman University for the last 10 years. I instruct numerous courses in Graduate program (Master of Arts in Psychology, LMFT & LPCC Emphases), and occasionally in Undergraduate programs (Bachelor of Arts in Psychology & Bachelor of Arts in Sociology). Brandman University (part of the Chapman University System), is a private, non-profit, fully accredited university that provides a quality education to working adults.
