Malecare
Provides true psycho-social support to over 38,000 men since our founding in 2004. We are a volunteer organization of social workers and psychologists, who found the more widely used model of a monthly lecture as inadequate for facilitating peer to peer support. Our groups meet weekly or bi-weekly, are 90 minutes in length and led by a social worker or psychologist who is diagnosed with prostate cancer, or has suffered the loss of their father from prostate cancer. Attendee’s are limited to men diagnosed with prostate cancer. We also run both massive and initimate online groups, including video chats. We are also know for our focus on underserved communities, such as Gay men (www.lgbtcancer.org) and African American men. We also facilitate a leading Male Breast Cancer support network.
Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation
A national non-profit organization compassionately dedicated in the fight against testicular cancer; through awareness and outreach, promoting the importance of monthly self-exams for early detection, support and guidance to patients and families, a resource for the medical community, providing financial assistance to those in need, and continuing to save lives. TCAF’s Financial Assistance Program is for families who are currently in treatment for testicular cancer.
Testicular Cancer Foundation
The Testicular Cancer Foundation provides education and support to young adult men to raise awareness about testicular cancer, the #1 cancer among men ages 15 – 35. Testicular Cancer Foundation education materials include shower cards, brochures, a website, and an iPhone/iPad app. Additionally, the Testicular Cancer Foundation invests significant time helping families, speaking to groups and sharing its mission and resources with the medical and healthcare communities, schools and wherever groups of young men can be reached.
Testicular Cancer Resource Center
Devoted to helping people understand testicular and extragonadal germ cell tumors and how they are best treated. We primarily serve patients and the families of patients who have already been told they have testicular cancer, but we can also help those who are concerned about a possible diagnosis of testicular cancer.
