So you’ve been diagnosed with breast cancer…
Let a qualified oncology nurse help you navigate the next steps to your recovery. My passion is making sure my patients feel supported and educated about their breast cancer diagnosis. I realize there is a wide range of emotions you experience when diagnosed and it can be overwhelming. Dealing with the shock of a diagnosis, plus trying to absorb all of the information being thrown at you, can just be too much.
As a Breast Cancer Advocate I can provide you with …
a private one-on-one consultation in the privacy of your own home;
an ally to help answer questions and provide additional support;
tools to manage the emotional and mental side effects, along with the physical ones;
a partner to take along with you on your journey;
individual one-on-one support, online group support;
and videos you can watch to understand the disease and your path.
About Me …
I passionately believe that everyone deserves to understand their cancer diagnosis and what to expect during treatment. I understand that even with the best healthcare team, being told you have cancer is incredibly overwhelming.
After spending years as an oncology nurse and a breast cancer navigator, I saw the gaps in the system between what patients and family members needed and what they received. I now dedicate my time to working individually with breast cancer patients so they can better understand their diagnosis and their treatment options, feel confident in their decisions, be prepared for what to expect, manage side effects at home, and be supported throughout their journey.
Being an oncology nurse, having experienced cancer with a family member, and being a survivor herself, I have a unique perspective that results in providing truly compassionate care.
Whether you are looking for an ally to periodically answer questions, a companion to give regular guidance, or a partner to be with you every step of the way, it is my privilege to help you during your journey.
I want you to feel as comfortable as you possibly can when facing one of the scariest (if not THE scariest) time of your life… I can provide you with:
-
a private one-on-one consultation (video, phone or, if local, in person);
-
an ally to help answer questions and provide additional support;
-
tools to manage the emotional and mental side effects, along with the physical ones;
-
a partner to take along with you on your journey;
-
individual one-on-one support, online group support; and
-
videos you can watch to understand the disease and your path.
Let me help you make this journey less overwhelming and less stressful so that you feel confident in the choices you make. I want to help you to feel educated about what you are facing. And I want to soften the emotional chaos.
I will hold your hand, ease your fears and wipe your tears. Don’t be alone on this journey.
I am also interested in partnering with private oncology practices to provide additional support and nurse navigation type services.
