FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE —
Boston, MA
April, 20, 2021
Survivingbreastcancer.org (SBC) is pleased to announce it’s strategic partnership with ABCD: After Breast Cancer Diagnosis (ABCD) and offer peer-to-peer mentorship matching for those diagnosed with breast cancer. Surviving Breast Cancer is a virtual network and community platform providing education, support, and resources to those diagnosed with breast cancer, and their families, from day one and beyond. ABCD is a national organization that specializes in peer-to-peer support. Its signature service is creating a personalized match between a breast cancer patient and a professionally-trained Mentor/breast cancer survivor or thriver, who not only share a similar diagnosis and treatment, but whose age, life stage and interests closely align as well.

Since 1999, ABCD staff and more than 700 Mentors have supported 100,000+ people in the United States and around the world, providing hope, understanding, and guidance to anyone who needs it. All services are free and are conducted over the phone or online. ABCD was founded in 1999 by Emmy Award-winning Milwaukee journalist Melodie Wilson Oldenburg with her founding vision that ‘no one needs to feel alone’ after being diagnosed with breast cancer.
