Ben obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Metropolitan State University and then achieved a Master of Science Degree from Boise State University, Exercise Physiology 2012.
Ben started his Exercise Physiology career in 2012 at St. Luke’s Cancer Institute in Boise, Idaho. As the Lead Exercise Physiologist, Expert for the Integrative Medicine Strength and Conditioning Program, Ben was responsible for preparing and conducting exercise testing and exercise program design. Over the course of his career, Ben worked with hundreds of those affected by cancer (prostate, breast, blood, endometrial, ovarian, digestive, and lymphatic cancer).
Ben’s greatest passion is working for functional restoration while improving the quality of life outcomes for those affected by cancer. Employed at an award-winning cancer treatment center, Ben realizes that greater restorative measures can implemented to improve the functional independence and quality of life for those affected by cancer (pre-, during, and post-cancer treatment). He set his focus on a rehabilitation program development outside of hospital treatment and physical therapy.
At Cancer Exercise Rx, the vision is to provide responsible, individual, and professional exercise instruction and planning for those affected by cancer. The mission is to assist with treatment-related side effects through exercise before, during, and post-cancer treatment.
CERx provides safe, progressive, and informed exercise plans and workouts at home, the gym, or while in the hospital through online exercise instruction applications (Virtuagym). These new technologies can help people live active and healthier lives. With help from Skype, IM, FaceTime, or ZOOM, customized training plans efficiently meet individual needs and goals all from the comfort of your home or gym.
