I began my career managing a corporate team before finding a love of Hospice volunteer work and letting it guide me to graduate school to earn my Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology.
I now have more than 15 years experience providing comprehensive, individual, and group psychotherapy to diverse populations. I am certified as a Cancer-trained Clinician with specialized training in EMDR.
I work with cancer survivors to release the stress, anxiety, and trauma related to living with cancer.
Stress occurs when our body experiences something new, unexpected, or threatening to our sense of self.
Anxiety is present when we have too much stress or feel we are powerless to change our situation. It can leave us feeling overwhelmed and unable to cope, further affecting our physical health, our relationships, and our ability to heal.
Trauma happens when an incident (perhaps the diagnosis of cancer) causes physical, emotional, spiritual or psychological harm.
I maintain a Private Practice to afford myself the opportunity to serve clients in my community with greater flexibility and creativity. I see clients in my Montclair-Oakland office and by video in the state of California.
