For nearly twenty years, I have worked with people in all stages of their cancer journey and feel passionate about bringing comfort and education to their options and choices around food. I work with people who want to leverage nutrition to feel better whether in treatment, 5-10 years out of treatment, or supporting a loved one in treatment.
Following completion of my Master’s degree from Bastyr University, I worked at a major cancer center for over twelve years and have extensive experience with many types of cancer. I have expanded my practice since 2010 to include integrative nutrition which takes the whole person into account and helps focus on prevention of other chronic health issues. Additionally, I incorporate a mindfulness approach to eating to help address the many barriers you may experience through this journey.
I have been board certified in oncology nutrition with the Commission on Dietetic Registration since 2010 and a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics where I have served on the Board of the Oncology Nutrition dietetic practice group. I co-authored a chapter on gynecological cancers in the second edition of Oncology Nutrition for Clinical Practice. I have spoken at many survivorship talks throughout the state.
I am passionate about working with people to feel their best after cancer treatment. Throughout my personal and professional experience, I hold a special place for the loved ones who support the cancer patient.
I welcome you to contact me to discuss your concerns and goals in a free introductory call. I am available for telehealth visits as well as in-person visits in my Seattle office. I am also in-network with some insurance.
