I am a licensed Psychoanalyst and I integrate somatic approaches, Internal Family Systems, and EMDR into treatment sessions.
I collaborate with my clients to identify and work towards their personal goals. This often includes addressing family, relationship, and career issues as well as recognizing impeding behavior and thought patterns. My practice specializes in treating anxiety, depression, and working through traumatic experiences.
I completed the Advanced Relational Training for Licensed Psychoanalysts at the Steven Mitchell Center in 2009. I became a Licensed Psychoanalyst through the Institute for Expressive Analysis in 2005, a NYS Licensed Creative Art Therapist in 2006, and a Board Certified Advanced Registered Dance Movement Therapist in 1994. I received my Master of Science (MSc) in Dance and Movement Therapy from The City University of New York/Hunter College in 1991.
In January 2022, I completed the Level Two Training Program in Internal Family Systems Therapy at the IFS Institute, which specifically addressed healing from depression, anxiety, and shame. I also completed the Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) from William M. Zangwill, Ph.D. in the Spring of 2021.
I worked as a Creative Arts Therapy Supervisor at the North Central Bronx Hospital from 1999 to 2019 and as a Creative Arts Therapist at the Jacobi Medical Center from 1991 to 1999.
