I have had a lot of experience working with cancer patients over the years. I did a clinical rotation in physical theory for cancer patients at a hospital cancer treatment center and worked with many patients suffering from and battling all kinds of cancer.
I am a doctor of Physical Therapy with undergraduate degrees in kinesiology and Human Nutrition. I am also nationally licensed in classical Pilates, the original method developed by Joseph Pilates, and have found that this method of corrective exercise is very effective in rebalancing the body improving core strength and posture, improving muscle length, while strengthening eccentrically. From fundamental to advanced level, it is useful for anyone at any age. Additionally, I am certified in Tai Chi for arthritis and fall prevention and offer hydrotherapy in a medical SwimSpa that can allow swimming in place, rowing simulation amongst all ranges of aquatic exercise at customized temperatures using a filtration system that uses minerals and low chemical to reduce irritation of traditional pools. My other specialization includes advanced dry needling (aka intramuscular stimulation), which is evidence-based and highly effective in treating acute and chronic pain anywhere in the body, including headaches. It is also proven to reset muscles by improving their timing of firing, amplitude, and motor fibre recruitment thereby increasing strength while releasing trigger points and improving muscle length.
Please know I am a Medicare provider.
I look forward to getting acquainted and taking care of the health and wellness needs of you and your loved ones and your clients. Let’s take care of it!
Sincerely,
Alina Acebo Kulczycki PT, DPT. HBS BA
