As an educator of 30+ years, a former bodyworker, and practicing mental health clinician, I infuse my teaching of mindfulness practices and ethics with “real life” tools and resources, neuroscience, physiology, and open heartedness.
I am a UCLA-Trained Mindfulness Facilitator and Affiliate MAPs Teacher, UCLA Semel Institute, Mindful Awareness Research Center (MARC). I am also a mentor in the UCLA Trained Mindfulness Facilitator program and a Certified Professional Mindfulness Teacher through the International Mindfulness Teachers Association (#P-0020).
My passion is designing and teaching workshops on mindful living, nervous system regulation, embodiment practices, and working with challenging emotions, trauma, and chronic pain. I love teaching those new to mindfulness as well as providing continuing education for bodyworkers, social workers, and counselors. I focus on body-centered and mindful approaches to trauma resolution and self-regulation with my clients.

Mindfulness has been a part of my life almost all my life! I lived a contemplative life for eight years in the 1970’s at a yoga ashram which, along with my family’s alternative interests, influenced the direction of my life towards awareness and mindful living. Over the years, I have continued to practice mindfulness and participated in many personal and professional growth retreats. I incorporate mindfulness, Somatic Experiencing Trauma Therapy, and holistic health skills into my body-centered practice focusing on trauma resolution and joyful living. In addition, I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker and hold certification as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. I am trained as an EMDR therapist.
