My experiences as a physician, breast cancer patient, and caregiver to my daughter who was diagnosed with brain cancer at the age of 2 1/2 years have compelled me to work with cancer patients in some capacity.
In the process of getting my certification and for my own healing journey, I acquired many tools and skills to serve my clients including cacao ceremonies, restorative yoga practice, Reiki, and meditation teacher training, to name a few.
I have three offerings for someone on a cancer journey.
- The first is one-on-one coaching in person or virtually.
- The second is group coaching in a series of workshops combining cacao and cancer coaching as well as some other modalities.
- The final offering is a 10-day retreat to an Ayurvedic resort in my ancestral home of Kerala, India. This retreat combines all the tools and skills I have with the gentle, loving, touch-centered treatments of my homeland to form a potent combination. This retreat is ideal for someone who has completed active treatment and is feeling disconnected or frightened in his or her body. It is also ideal for caregivers. The retreat can serve to teach people how to receive care, how to feel safe in their body again, and how to cultivate deep rest and to lower stress. I offered my first retreat this past July and it was even better than I could have hoped.

I studied biology, philosophy, and medicine at Johns Hopkins University, Kings College London, and Temple School of Medicine respectively. After giving birth to my three children, I was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer. Two years later, my daughter Olivia was diagnosed with brain cancer.
My cancer experiences as a physician, patient, and caregiver give me a unique and holistic perspective. I view the impact of cancer and treatment not only on the one who has the diagnosis but on the community of support around the patient as well. A cancer diagnosis can be an opportunity to turn toward one’s self and remember what it is that brings you aliveness. In my work as a cancer coach, I create a safe judgment-free space for people to hear their inner guidance. I believe that many things can be medicine and this principle guides my offerings. My practice is based on the desire to serve those asking the questions ‘Who am I now?’ and ‘What do I want after cancer?’
