I am a Head of Partnerships and Advocacy Programs at Total Health Oncology, a woman-owned company that provides free oncology continuing medical education in the U.S. I also lead The Cancer Equity Project, that promotes health equity in cancer care for underrepresented communities.
With over 16 years of experience in building purpose-driven organizations and mobilizing communities of care, I am passionate about advancing patient care and ending disparities across the healthcare continuum.
As a business and leadership strategist, I leverage my skills in mentoring, organizational leadership, and communication to partner with pharmaceutical and diagnostic companies, patient advocacy organizations, and policy makers. As a certified John Maxwell coach, trainer, and speaker, I work with CEOs, emerging C-Suite, and executive teams to enhance their leadership skills and integrate purpose into their culture. As a recent breast cancer survivor, I share my personal and professional expertise to activate the oncology community through initiatives geared toward diversity, equity, and access.
At Total Health, we are committed to dismantling the barriers that disproportionately affect marginalized communities. We believe that access to quality healthcare and cancer services should be a fundamental right for everyone, regardless of their race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, or background. Our goal is to promote health equity in cancer care so that every patient can live their life to the fullest.
Through evidence-based, clinical education and advocacy, we will uncover and promote solutions that provide equal and equitable access to clinical research and care for patients in underrepresented communities living with and after a cancer diagnosis.
T-Talks
In these 10-minute ‘T-Talk’ live streams, Sharon Gill and Sarah Louden explore concepts of happiness and healing and how people involved in cancer care or managing life after a cancer diagnosis can cultivate joy and positivity in their lives. They discuss the emotional impact of cancer. They explore strategies for finding happiness, such as practicing gratitude, connecting with loved ones, and engaging in activities that bring joy. We also talk about the importance of self-care. They share stories of cancer survivors, host Q&As with doctors and other members of the care team, talk with pharma and diagnostic leaders, and highlight advocacy and policy efforts being made on behalf of this community. They intend for listeners to have a better understanding of the role happiness can play in life, and be inspired to find joy and positivity in their own lives, no matter what challenges they may face.
They call it ‘T-Talk’ because T cells are a type of blood cell that protect the body against cancerous and other infected cells. Their main function is to actively destroy infected cells, and signal other immune cells to participate in healing. Laughter increases and enhances the effectiveness of T cells, so join them to find your smile!
