As a cancer survivor and thriver, I know what it feels like to be smacked by life. I also have a deep belief that everyone, no matter what they’re struggling with, has innate internal resilience that they can learn to tap into. On the other side, maybe you’re tired of being so resilient and just need a space to fall apart in. Either way, I am here for you.
I knew I wanted to be a therapist years ago, before I was diagnosed with cancer myself in 2016. My diagnoses and personal healing journey only strengthened my intention to help others through therapy and focused my passion to working with those with cancer diagnosis, their caregivers, and other family members affected.
Maya Angelou says it best,
My mission in life is not merely to survive,
but to thrive,
and to do so with some passion, some compassion,
some humor,
and some style.
I named my practice Thrive On, because I hope to help my clients move from victims to survivors to thrivers, with healing and reviving in every stage. Everyone has her or his own unique experiences with cancer, and so I tailor my modalities and interventions around everyone’s individual needs.
My Focus Areas:
- Emotional identification and regulation
- Trauma processing
- Radical acceptance
- Managing anxiety and depression
- Working with chronic pain
- Grief and loss
- Spirituality as a source of strength
