I am a licensed Psychologist (practicing 20 years) and two-time breast cancer survivor: Stage I in 2012 and Stage IV in 2022. I published a book in 2020: No More Pink: Finding Your New Normal: A Memoir & Guidebook. Ironically, I switched to the multicolored ribbon in 2022 for metastatic breast cancer. I meant no more cancer …
I have a support group for anyone whose life has been touched by cancer in addition to my services and courses.
I am originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Davidson College in North Carolina and my PhD in Clinical and Health Psychology from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I completed her internship at the Salt Lake City VA and my fellowship in Palliative Care at the Audie Murphy VA in San Antonio, where I stayed to begin private practice.
I have been in private practice since 2005 with a focus on assessment (educational, forensic, and medical) and cognitive-behavioral interventions for depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and other medical conditions.
I work with children, adolescents, and adults and also provide Parenting Coordination/Parenting Facilitation services as well as mediation services. I am active in my community and I am past President for the Bexar County Psychological Association.
I enjoy an active lifestyle including tennis, yoga, running, and swimming. I live in the Hill Country with my three children, two cats, and one dog.
I have written several books, including No More Pink! Finding a New Normal After Breast Cancer and Be the One Your Kids Talk To: The Ultimate Parenting Guide. I plan to release more in the future!
