Awareness
GYNCA staff, survivors and volunteers regularly attend community events to spread the word about gynecologic cancer symptoms, diagnosis and support.
Our Programs
Fueled by Hope
- GYNCA provides gas cards to women in active treatment to cover the cost of traveling to their cancer-related appointments.
- We partner with Chek (www.chekspend.com) to provide reloadable gas cards that can be used at any gas station, making access to fuel funds quick, easy and convenient for those who need it.
Case Management & Advocacy
- We maintain a record on each of our members in order to assist them with any case management needs. We are always willing to help advocate for the needs of our GYNCA members.
- We will keep in contact throughout each woman’s journey to assess needs, answer questions, and offer support.
Emergency Non-Medical Financial Support
- Families facing gynecologic cancer can request financial assistance. Common assistance includes rent payments, car repairs, utilities, gasoline, home repairs, personal care items & more…
Building Connection & Community
- In-person support groups meet monthly on the 3rd Thursday of the month from 6-8 PM. Check with the office for the most up-to-date location details.
- A private Facebook group is available for our survivors. Request to join at: facebook.com/groups/gyncasupport
The Shelly Sachs Wig Room
- A partnership of The Shelly Sachs Foundation, Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks and GYN Cancers Alliance, where women with any cancer diagnosis can receive a personal fitting in the GYNCA office, a wig of their choosing, care supplies and a gift – free of charge.
