My passion for massage therapy comes from 15 years of work experience as a social worker, helping to promote the well-being of individuals in challenging life situations.
Having become a mother to two rambunctious little boys, and then surviving cancer, I decided it was time to take my life in a new direction. It is my mission to switch my focus to building Zen into my own life, as well as those around me.
I am Certified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) Therapy and Pre- and Perinatal Massage. I have completed advanced training in oncology massage.
Based on the techniques developed by Dr. Emil Vodder, Ph.D., MT., when skillfully applied, Manual Lymphatic Drainage of soft-tissue mobilization dramatically enhances lymph formation and promotes drainage within the superficial and deep systems of the lymph vascular network. MLD effectively reduces traumatic and post-surgical edema, and can provide symptomatic relief of migraine headaches, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma, reflex sympathetic dystrophy (RSD), stress, fatigue, and more. MLD also induces general relaxation and detoxification.
MLD can be done exclusively as a whole body 60-minute massage, 30-minutes to address a specific target area, or incorporated into your 90-minute custom massage.
I offer customized massages utilizing a combination of techniques from a variety of modalities including Swedish, deep tissue, Deep Massage, orthopedic, body mobilization, passive stretches, cupping, percussion therapy, aromatherapy, and table Thai, with the intent to relieve pain, reduce stress, and improve overall well-being.
