Claire Rumore is the Founder of Cancer and Intimacy, a resource devoted to intimacy, relationships, body image, and emotional connection in the context of cancer.

Cancer and Intimacy is a resource hub dedicated to the often-overlooked impact of cancer on intimacy, sexuality, body image, and relationships.
It was created by Claire Rumore, a cancer survivor who miraculously survived stage 4 pancreatic cancer in 2022 at the age of 42.
When treatment ended, she found herself facing questions no one had prepared her for:
- How do I feel at home in my body now?
- How do I navigate intimacy when my body, desire, or identity has changed?
- How do partners stay close when fear, grief, or silence enter the room?
Like many survivors, Claire discovered that while cancer care often saves lives, people are frequently left alone with the deeply human aftermath.
Cancer and Intimacy was born from that realization.
Before her diagnosis, Claire had already spent years working in sex education and intimacy coaching, supporting individuals and couples in navigating desire, communication, and connection. Cancer did not change the direction of her work so much as deepen its purpose.
Through CancerAndIntimacy.com, Claire has created a thoughtful and growing resource for:
- Patients and survivors navigating intimacy, sexuality, and body image during and after cancer
- Partners and caregivers who want to stay connected without pressure or shame
- Healthcare and wellness practitioners seeking guidance on how to address intimacy and relational healing in cancer care
Her work combines lived experience with professional training to offer compassionate, grounded guidance around one of the most overlooked aspects of survivorship.
Cancer and Intimacy exists to support the parts of healing that are rarely spoken about, yet profoundly shape quality of life.
If you are living with cancer, recovering from treatment, loving someone who is, or caring for patients and survivors, you will find meaningful resources here.
