I am a breast cancer survivor who has perseverance and nothing but love and passion for helping others fighting breast cancer!
I started the nonprofit My Pink Navigator to inspire and empower breast cancer patients to feel strong and beautiful during and after cancer treatments. Our mission is to eliminate barriers and provide organization in the lives of breast cancer patients through education and navigational support.
We help navigate patients through their journey and provide survivorship support. We are here to educate patients and make them aware of services, care product, and resources that are available to them.
We provide chemo, surgery, and beauty bags. The chemo and surgery bags are full of care product and resources to help make a patients fight easier, less stressful, and more comfortable. The beauty bags are full of skincare products to help with the side affects from treatment and to boost their self-esteem.
Our unique mentoring program, “The Pink Coalition” connects newly diagnosed patients with survivors. By pairing these breast cancer survivors with these individuals, we wish to create a system that will guide and support those individuals during what can be a scary and difficult time: a diagnosis of breast cancer.
As funding allows, we will provide assistance with transportation and lodging expenses to and from follow up visits and treatments.
I served on the Board of Directors of Susan G Komen from 2014-2017. I volunteered for Kentucky Pink Connection (now known at Kentucky CancerLink) and Susan G Komen. I am an advocate in our community teaching others about breast cancer awareness. I served as State Leader for Young Survival Coalition from 2014-2018.
