EFT tapping has its basis in Chinese medicine and acupuncture; however, no needles are used. It is often referred to as acupressure for the emotional brain. It involves tapping on 13 meridian or energy points on the body while being tuned into the emotional distress one is experiencing about a specific experience, thought, belief, or behavior. It is especially successful when the primary focus is trauma, PTSD, grief, loss, chronic pain, anxiety, depression.
EFT tapping frequently produces rapid, sustainable results and often works when other methods have failed. EFT tapping also has an advantage over EMDR in that clients can learn to use the technique on themselves. What we know is that the tapping is sending a calming, counter-conditioning signal into the areas of the brain involved with the fight, flight, or freeze response.

Tapping is brilliant for releasing stuck energy/negative thoughts/upsetting emotions from the body. It leaves us feeling more relaxed and resourced about the problem we aim it at.
This technique is based on the principles behind Traditional Chinese Medicine. We connect with the thoughts and emotions we have about a difficult subject. Then, using the tips of our fingers, we tap on acupuncture points on the face and upper-body and we can feel ourselves relax.
We work on whatever issue (self-love, relationships, finances, business, health challenge, general stress or overwhelm…) and emotions (anger, sadness, fear, guilt, shame, etc.) you bring.
EFT reduces the high emotions we have around our stuff. Stress diminishes and we can make more conscious choices.
This is a tool that’s easy to use and great for self-care.
